He served four terms as president (March 4, 1933 – April 12, 1945) and was a major leader in the allied powers during World War II without him the allied powers might not have been able to win the war He helped the american people regain faith in themselves during the great depression and brought them through most of World War II. During World War 2 Roosevelt was pushing for the United Nations to be created to try and keep the world stable after the war. today the united nations is a huge part of politicas and help keep the world safe and a peace. After the collapse of the league of nations the world needed a unifying force to stop another major conflict like World War 2 from happening again. Roosevelt pushed and pushed for the creation of the United Nations. Finally on October 24, 1945 the United Nations was founded. Even though Roosevelt was not around to see the united nations come into existence he still played a huge part in its creation. originally the united nations had 51 participating nations in it. today the united nations has almost four times that number with a massive one hundred and ninety three participating nations making it the most powerful entity in history. the united nations has helped prevent wars from breaking out in various parts in the world and when incidents to arise the un is able to act in the manner it sees best fit to end the conflict before it escalates into a huge uncontrollable confli ct. Analysis Of Night By Elie Wiesel - 991 Words

The literary form of nonfiction prose, specifically the memoir, is most suited to thinking through the ethics of experimental research or medicine on human subjects. This form of literature relies on the personal experiences of the author, rather than factual information, to increase awareness about an emotional truth. Night by Elie Wiesel will be analyzed to support this relationship and Respect for Autonomy of Principles of Biomedical Ethics will give context for my argument. The former piece is written by a Holocaust survivor who documents his experience of living in concentration camps during the Nazi regime (Wiesel). In Elie Wiesels Night, Moshe the Beadle and Wiesel himself act on positive obligation by disclosing information to those who are able to act in an autonomous manner. From issuing warnings about leaving town so that others can avoid being taken to the concentration camps to publishing an account of ones own lived experience during the Nazi regime, Moshe and Wiesel take similar approaches in improving the wellbeing of others, including that of fellow townspeople and future generations. In regards to Moshe, he bears witness to the horrendous treatment that the Nazis enact on the Jews when he is transferred to a concentration camp; he manages to escape back to Sighet to tell [Eliezers family, and other members of the community] the story of [his] death. So that [they] could prepare [themselves] while there [is] still time (Wiesel 3). Eliezer and his relatives are some of the many individuals in Sighet who refuse to consider Moshes commentary, because they develop the assumption that he has gone mad and wants to be pitied. MBA in Technology Management The company I worked for in the past was FORE Properties. This was a chain or apartment communities that were all purchased and built by the owner and run by the property managers, assistant property managers, and the leasing team. New positions may have been added or I was never aware of their presence. There are many different reasons why I did not enjoy working for this company. None of them have anything to do with the organization structure. For one, I accepted the position as leasing consultant when I was 3 months pregnant. After working for the company for a few months, I was told that my appearance was unsatisfactory. I was wearing clothes from Motherhood Maternity and looked better than most employees. They were referring to my face because I had severe acne due to the stress of the pregnancy and the Job. They were also referring to my hair because it had recently been cut short. My regional actually told me I looked sick. I had extreme fits of morning sickness throughout the whole pregnancy, so looking sick came with the territory. My Job was actually threatened several times due to my â€Å"appearance. † Another reason I did not enjoy working for this company is because on one occasion, I was in the shower, getting ready for my regularly scheduled weekend work day, which I hated because I could not spend time with my family, and I slipped in the shower. I was immediately rushed to the RE because being pregnant and falling is a serious issue. I contacted my manager as soon as I could to let her know that I could not physically make it in the office that day and she wrote me up because I contacted her AFTER the office should have been open. I explained that there is nothing I could have done differently and that my child’s life was in danger. I refused to sign the write up to admit that I was guilty of anything because I wasn’t. The main reason I did not like the Job was because the product I was trying to sell was disgusting. For starters, the apartments are income restricted. You have to make a certain amount of money to live there, so it is pointed toward a lower margin. The apartments themselves were never cleaned, stunk like cigarettes, and had multiple different kinds of linoleum and carpet throughout a single apartment. My manager loud have paid to have each apartment looking amazing, but instead kept her budget low so she would receive a bonus for not going over budget. I mentioned this several times to my regional, and even had her come and view our apartments, but we were told to lease them anyways. I tried to explain that no one would want to live in an apartment like this. I myself come from the ghetto of South Austin Texas and have lived in some DISGUSTING apartments, but I would not chose to live in these apartments if you paid me. They still put a sense of urgency on us to get the apartments leased and began threatening our Jobs. The whole situation was horrible and I am glad I got out of it when I did. I was even told to constantly walk up to the third floor to clean cockroaches out of the breezeways when I was 9 months pregnant. One time I was even told that I would be standing on the corner in a clown suit with a sign that points to the apartments to get traffic in. Being 9 months pregnant, not fitting into the costume and it being 110 degrees outside, I put my foot down and contacted HRS and explained what I was being told to do. I was protected from the dressing like a clown, but still expected to walk up and down three flights of Atari in high heels and about to deliver a baby. If I was the regional, the manager, or even the owner, I would invest more time and money into making the property look amazing, inside and out. I would be sure that each and every employee is treated as fair as possible. I would never expect anyone to do anything that they could not physically do. I think the more you push someone to do something, the more stressed out they become and the less they provide you with good work. In conclusion, working for a company has its up’s and downs. It is up to each level of the structure o make the best of each situation that they are dealt. If they see something that is not right, they need to take charge and handle the situation immediately. I wish that in several instances, my assistant manager had spoken up for me and handled the situation instead of keeping quite out of fear of losing her Job as well. Answer: Introduction: It would be correct to say that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a multidimensional concept addressing a range of social, cultural, ethical, economic and political concerns (Truong, 2011). In the current economic and business environment, CSR (Corporate Social responsibility) has emerged as a critical business function. The organizations have felt the need of integration between CSR and HRM function. The main objective of HRM function is to bring all the stakeholders together and CSR is a critical step in this (Kymal, 2014). The HR practices like planning, organizing, employee engagement would have a role to play in broad level CSR policies as good level of CSR policies depend on the way employees are engaged and utilized. Today, organizations have realized that the emphasis on CSR is the path to attain the objectives of sustainable development (Shen, 2011). Therefore, the large and multinational organizations have started to have the organizational design that supports CSR. Beckman (2009) argued that regardless of the model used, the organizational design must use a model that concurrently utilizes information systems design and work place design due to the models evolving over time and as the needs of businesses have changed (Beckman, 2009). It is observed that the large and multinational organizations are able to focus more on CSR practices as compared to the small and mid-size organizations. Google Inc. is one such company that has a strong policy of CSR (Woodrow, 2012). The management of Google Inc. has realized the role of various internal and external stakeholders to uphold the values of corporate social responsibility. The management of Google Inc. has been able to realize various tangible and intangible benefits of dedicated CSR policies (Yang, 2013). One of the tangible benefits of CSR policies for Google Inc. is an increase in the organizational revenue. The focus on CSR and sustainable development has helped Google Inc. to have a good rapport with consumers and eventually it has increased the revenue and profitability of the company. There are various indirect or intangible benefits of CSR for Google Inc. For example, Google Inc. has observed an improvement in the employee satisfaction index with the focus on C SR policies (Greenwood, 2002). The company is able to have a good relationship with various internal and external stakeholders. There are also various tangible and intangible costs of CSR polices that Google Inc. has to absorb. For example, the company has to make various monetary investments to implement the strategies and policies of CSR. The shareholders of the company directly absorb the monetary cost (Ferguson, 2016). However, the cost-benefit analysis of CSR suggests that the benefits if CSR outweighs the costs of CSR. The focus on CSR policies has been beneficial for both internal and external stakeholders of the company (Igalens, 2011). With various CSR polices and strategies, Google Inc. has been able to increase the motivation level of employees and the motivation level of employees is directly linked to the productivity level of employees.
